All clubs and personnel are to adhere to all NSW Government and local government regulations, legislation and policies concerning alcohol, illicit drugs and tobacco.

6.1 Smoking and Alcohol -A player, team official or umpire participating (either playing or warming up) in a game shall not use tobacco, or vaping (e-cigarettes) products on the field of play. This prohibition shall also apply to “warm up” areas, batting practice areas, dugouts and all surrounding areas including spectator areas and car parks. 6.2 PENALTY for breaches of 6.1: The offending person shall be removed from the game, reported to the Competition Manager and will be subject to additional penalties as determined by the Competition Manager and CCBA

6.3 Clubs serving alcohol are to ensure that they comply with relevant council regulations relating to the use of sporting fields and any applicable laws.

6.4 Drugs in Sport – The Anti-Doping policy that has been adopted by the BA will be enforced. (http://baseball.com.au/Resources/Policies)

6.5 Any player who is required by doctors’ prescription to treat a medical problem with proscribed drugs as defined by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) guidelines shall be registered with BNSW and or the BA. Players are to forward details accompanied by a letter from the players’ doctor to BNSW.

6.6 Clubs are to ensure that all players who have queries re prescribed drugs are advised to consult the ASADA website www.asada.gov.au
